The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles,


So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized him,


Greet Prisca and Aquila, who work with me in Christ Jesus,


and likewise the ancestor of the circumcised who are not only circumcised but who also follow the example of the faith that our ancestor Abraham had before he was circumcised.


As we work together with him, we urge you also not to accept the grace of God in vain.


So then, remember that at one time you Gentiles by birth, called “the uncircumcision” by those who are called “the circumcision”—a physical circumcision made in the flesh by human hands—
