Solomon slept with his ancestors and was buried in the city of his father David; and his son Rehoboam succeeded him.


Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred and how he reigned, are written in the Book of the Annals of the Kings of Israel.


Now Rehoboam son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother's name was Naamah the Ammonite.


Then David slept with his ancestors, and was buried in the city of David.


He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Micaiah daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. Now there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.


Jeroboam did not recover his power in the days of Abijah; the Lord struck him down, and he died.


so mortals lie down and do not rise again; until the heavens are no more, they will not awake or be roused out of their sleep.
