The leaders of the tribes of Israel: over the Reubenites: Eliezer son of Zikri; over the Simeonites: Shephatiah son of Maakah;


from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;


The divisions of the camp of Judah went first, under their standard. Nahshon son of Amminadab was in command.


The divisions of the camp of Reuben went next, under their standard. Elizur son of Shedeur was in command.


On the south will be: the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard. The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.


On the east, towards the sunrise: the divisions of the camp of Judah are to camp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab.


The one who brought his offering on the first day was Nahshon son of Amminadab of the tribe of Judah.


Then the leaders of Israel, the heads of families who were the tribal leaders in charge of those who were counted, made offerings.


On the fourth day Elizur son of Shedeur, the leader of the people of Reuben, brought his offering.
