Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.
Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.
As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him.
Jesus did not let him, but said, ‘Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.’
The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him.
‘Come, see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done. Could this be the Messiah?’
He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
