At that time if anyone says to you, “Look, here is the Messiah!” or, “Look, there he is!” do not believe it.
People will tell you, “There he is!” or “Here he is!” Do not go running off after them.
He replied: ‘Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, “I am he,” and, “The time is near.” Do not follow them.
‘I baptise with water,’ John replied, ‘but among you stands one you do not know.
Jesus said, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.’
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
