‘What kind of towns are these you have given me, my brother?’ he asked. And he called them the Land of Kabul, a name they have to this day.


Gederoth, Beth Dagon, Naamah and Makkedah – sixteen towns and their villages.


There the boundary went round on the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.


Allammelek, Amad and Mishal. On the west the boundary touched Carmel and Shihor Libnath.


Then they carried the ark into Dagon’s temple and set it beside Dagon.
