When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,


You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.


so that the generation to come might know; sons shall be born, and they shall arise and tell their sons,


And Moses said, Thus says Jehovah: About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt.


For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. I am Jehovah.


Then you shall say, It is the sacrifice of Jehovah's passover, who passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt, when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our houses. And the people bowed and worshiped.


And it happened at midnight Jehovah struck all the first-born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sat on his throne to the first-born of the captive that was in the prison; also all the first-born of cattle.


for with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people.


Lo, I will bring a nation on you from afar, O house of Israel, says Jehovah. It is an enduring nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, nor understand what they say.


and keep My sabbaths holy; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am Jehovah your God.

Jehovah shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand,


These are the testimonies and the statutes and the judgments which Moses spoke to the sons of Israel after they came forth out of Egypt,
