But many who are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.


Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that the tax-collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.


For many are called, but few chosen.


Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it.


But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.


For I say to you that none of these men who were invited shall taste of my supper.

And for this cause we thank God without ceasing, that when you received the Word of hearing, of God, you welcomed it as the Word of God, not as a word of men, but as it is, truly the Word of God, which also effectually works in you who believe.
