For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of Jehovah, and to do it, and to teach statutes and judgments in Israel.


And I, Artaxerxes the king, make a decree to all the treasurers who are Beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of Heaven, shall ask of you, it shall be done exactly,


this Ezra went up from Babylon. And he was a ready scribe in the Law of Moses, which Jehovah, the God of Israel had given. And the king granted him all he asked, according to the hand of Jehovah his God on him.


The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he who takes souls is wise.


The lips of the righteous send forth knowledge, but the heart of the foolish is not so.


The words of a man's mouth are like deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is like a flowing stream.


The love-apples give a scent, and over our doors are all pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for You, O my Beloved.


A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings out good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings out evil things.

This grace is given to me (who am less than the least of all saints) to preach the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations,


even as you learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow-servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ for you,


Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.


not a novice, lest being puffed up he may fall into the condemnation of the Devil.


holding fast the faithful Word according to the doctrine, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and to convict the gainsayers.
