And I am as a man who hears not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.


He was oppressed, and He was afflicted; yet He opened not His mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before its shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.


And when He was accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.


And Pilate asked Him, Are you the king of the Jews? And answering He said to him, You say it.


And Pilate asked Him again, saying, Do you answer nothing? Behold how many things they witness against you!


But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.


From this time, Pilate sought to release Him. But the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.
