And Joseph's ten brothers went down to buy grain in Egypt.


And it happened, when they had eaten up the grain which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said to them, Go again, buy us a little food.


If you will send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food.


And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the boy with me, and we will arise and go, so that we may live and not die, both we and you, also our little ones.


Hurry and go up to my father and say to him, So says your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me, do not wait.


I shall not die, but live and declare the works of Jehovah.


Behold, the eye of Jehovah is to those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy;


to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.


In those days Hezekiah was sick to death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him and said to him, So says Jehovah, Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.


But He answered and said, It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."


But hearing grain was in Egypt, Jacob sent out our fathers first.
