There were giants in the earth in those days. And also after that, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore to them, they were mighty men who existed of old, men of renown.


And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking the Syrians in the Valley of Salt, eighteen thousand men.


They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble.


For, lo, Your enemies, O Jehovah; for lo, Your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.


The memory of the just is blessed; but the name of the wicked shall rot.


Though Babylon should mount up to the heavens, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet plunderers shall come to her from Me, says Jehovah.

Where shall we go up? Our brothers have broken our heart, saying, We have seen there a people greater and taller than we are. The cities are great and walled up to the heavens, also the sons of the giants.


And Jehovah shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the nations where Jehovah shall drive you.


Hear, O, Israel! You are to pass over Jordan today, to go in to expel nations greater and mightier than you, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
