By these were the coasts of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.


And the name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one that surrounds the whole land of Cush.


And Noah was five hundred years old. And Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.


And the sons of Noah that went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan.


And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.


And they found fertile and good pasture, for the land was wide and quiet and peaceable. For some of the sons of Ham had lived there of old.
