And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.


They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.


As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.


Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.


Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame; and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.


Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.


The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgai´on. Selah.


Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.


And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord God fell there upon me.


So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.


For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.


For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
