And in the reign of Ahasue´rus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they unto him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.


and the next unto him was Carshe´na, Shethar, Adma´tha, Tarshish, Meres, Marse´na, and Memu´can, the seven princes of Persia and Me´di-a, which saw the king's face, and which sat the first in the kingdom,)


And Memu´can answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasue´rus.


So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?
