What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king Ahasue´rus by the chamberlains?


And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.


Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mor´decai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor.


And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.


And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honor,


and let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honor, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honor.


Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.


For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.


Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.


Before destruction the heart of man is haughty; and before honor is humility.


There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.


Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my Spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.


Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

that all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him.
