Psalm 31:1

Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.


O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.


Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.


And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.


O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.


For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.


and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
