So Hilki´ah the priest, and Ahi´kam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahi´ah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.


And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.


And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Neth´inim, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;


And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.


So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Neth´inim, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities. And when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
