For this Melchiz´edek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;


Wherefore Ado´ni–ze´dek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhi´a king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,


And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.
