Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he answered them.


And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:


And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,


And Moses said unto the Lord, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favor in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?


But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.


And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the congregation.


Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.


Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.


And there came thither certain Jews from An´ti-och and Ico´ni-um, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.


Hath not my hand made all these things?


And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
