And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.


Then all the captains of the forces, and Jo´hanan the son of Kare´ah, and Jezani´ah the son of Hoshai´ah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,


For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.


Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.


So the people of Nin´eveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.


And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lyca-o´nia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.


Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
