And Hezeki´ah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezeki´ah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.


And when he heard say of Tirha´kah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee; he sent messengers again unto Hezeki´ah, saying,


Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.


O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.


Then Joshua passed from Makke´dah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:


the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;


the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adul´lam, one;
