The LORD preserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.


[A song of ascents.] They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides forever.


Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:


Hold up my steps in your paths, that my feet slip not.


Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of your wings,


He trusted in the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.


O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in you.


O love the LORD, all you his saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully repays the proud doer.


For the LORD loves justice, and forsakes not his saints; they are preserved forever: but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

Lest they tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.


O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in you.


And they that know your name will put their trust in you: for you, LORD, have not forsaken them that seek you.


You that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.


He keeps the paths of justice, and preserves the way of his saints.


But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead:


For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
