Now I have come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days: for the vision is for many days yet to come.
And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be till the end of these wonders?
And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have accomplished the shattering of the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint who spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
These things understood not his disciples at first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power.
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when he testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
