As they delivered to us, who from the beginning being eyewitnesses, and servants of the word;
Having begun from the immersion of John, unto the day which he was taken up from us, be one of these a witness with you of his rising up.
But ye shall receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses to me also in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the last of the earth.
Not to all people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, to us, who ate and drank with him after his rising from the dead.

Which of the prophets did not your fathers drive out and they slew them announcing beforehand of the coming of the Just; of whom ye have now been traitors and murderers:
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having been a curse for us: for it has been written, Cursed every one hanging upon a tree:
Who himself bear up our sins in his body upon the wood, that we, removed from sins, should live to justice: by whose bloody mark ye were healed.
