After these things the word of the LORD came to Avram in a vision, saying, *Don't be afraid, Avram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.*
When the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Avram. Now terror and great darkness fell on him.
He said, I saw all Yisra'el scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in shalom.
Then you spoke in vision to your holy ones, and said, *I have bestowed strength on the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.
