He said, Which way shall we go up? He answered, The way of the wilderness of Edom.


Moshe spoke so to the children of Yisra'el, but they didn't listen to Moshe for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.


Now the `Amaleki and the Kena`ani dwell in the valley: tomorrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way to the Sea of Suf.


Moshe did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.


Why discourage you the heart of the children of Yisra'el from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?


For when they went up to the valley of Eshkol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Yisra'el, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
