Therefore he consumed their days in vanity, and their years in terror.


Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don't provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.


Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, says the Lord GOD.


God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?


For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. There was not left a man of them, save Kalev the son of Yefunneh, and Yehoshua the son of Nun.


Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.


However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.


We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.


For the children of Yisra'el walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, even the men of war who came forth out of Egypt, were consumed, because they didn't listen to the voice of the LORD: to whom the LORD swore that he wouldn't let them see the land which the LORD swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
