But the governor answered them, *Which of the two do you want me to release to you?* They said, *Bar-Abba!*
But the chief Kohanim stirred up the multitude, that he should release Bar-Abba to them instead.
Then they all shouted again, saying, *Not this man, but Bar-Abba!* Now Bar-Abba was a robber.
He reasoned in the synagogue every Shabbat, and persuaded Jews and Greeks.
