The LORD spoke to Moshe, *Go, get down; for your people, who you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves!
Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.*
But he answered his father, 'Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a mitzvah of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.
*He said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.
But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.'*
