All we like sheep have gone astray; everyone has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.


I will rejoice in Yerushalayim, and joy in my people; and there shall be heard in her no more the voice of weeping and the voice of crying.


Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra'el.


He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, *Behold, a farmer went out to sow.


But you go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.*


The Perushim and the scribes murmured, saying, *This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.*


*Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn't leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?


He said to him again a second time, *Shim`on, son of Yonah, do you love me?* He said to him, *Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.* He said to him, *Tend my sheep.*


They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him, *You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Judeans of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Torah.
