They said, *Come, let's build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let's make ourselves a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.*


Therefore She'ol has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.


Though Bavel should mount up to the sky, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall destroyers come to her, says the LORD.
