Send one of you, and let him get your brother, and you shall be bound, that your words may be tested, whether there is truth in you, or else by the life of Par`oh surely you are spies.*


Yosef remembered the dreams which he dreamed about them, and said to them, *You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land.*


My people, remember now what Balak king of Mo'av devised, and what Bil`am the son of Be'or answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the LORD.*


The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying,


Send you men, that they may spy out the land of Kena`an, which I give to the children of Yisra'el: of every tribe of their fathers shall you send a man, everyone a prince among them.


Yisra'el abode in Shittim; and the people began to play the prostitute with the daughters of Mo'av:


They encamped by the Yarden, from Beit-Yeshimot even to Avel-Hashittim in the plains of Mo'av.


Salmon became the father of Bo`az by Rachav. Bo`az became the father of `Oved 1 by Rut. `Oved 1 became the father of Yishai.


*Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.


Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Messiah and God.


By faith, Rachav the prostitute, didn't perish with those who were disobedient, having received the spies in shalom.


In like manner wasn't Rachav the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way?


Whoever he be who shall rebel against your mitzvah, and shall not listen to your words in all that you command him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of good courage.


It was told the king of Yericho, saying, Behold, there came men in here tonight of the children of Yisra'el to search out the land.

The children of Dan sent of their family five men from their whole number, men of valor, from Tzor`ah, and from Eshta'ol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said to them, Go, search the land. They came to the hill country of Efrayim, to the house of Mikhah, and lodged there.
