He blessed them that day, saying, *In you will Yisra'el bless, saying, 'God make you as Efrayim and as Menasheh'* He set Efrayim before Menasheh.
Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amori with my sword and with my bow.*
By the border of Menasheh, from the east side to the west side, Efrayim, one [portion].
To the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance: to everyone according to those who were numbered of him shall his inheritance be given.
They were married into the families of the sons of Menasheh the son of Yosef; and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.
Yehoshua said to them, If you are a great people, go up to the forest, and cut down for yourself there in the land of the Perizzi and of the Refa'im; since the hill country of Efrayim is too narrow for you.
