They made a conspiracy against him in Yerushalayim; and he fled to Lakhish: but they sent after him to Lakhish, and killed him there.


Chizkiyahu king of Yehudah sent to the king of Ashur to Lakhish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which you put on me will I bear. The king of Ashur appointed to Chizkiyahu king of Yehudah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.


The king of Ashur sent Tartan and Rav-Saris and Ravshakeh from Lakhish to king Chizkiyahu with a great army to Yerushalayim. They went up and came to Yerushalayim. When they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller's field.


So Ravshakeh returned, and found the king of Ashur warring against Livna; for he had heard that he was departed from Lakhish.


Yoshiyahu was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned thirty-one years in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Yedidah the daughter of `Adayah of Botzkat.


Therefore Adoni-Tzedek king of Yerushalayim sent to Hoham king of Chevron, and to Pir'am king of Yarmut, and to Yafia king of Lakhish, and to Devir king of `Eglon, saying,


Yehoshua passed from Lakhish, and all Yisra'el with him, to `Eglon; and they encamped against it, and fought against it;


and Dil`an, and Mitzpeh, and Yokte'el,
