In those days was Chizkiyahu sick to death. Yeshaiyahu the prophet the son of Amotz came to him, and said to him, Thus says the LORD, Set your house in order: for you shall die, and not live.


I will add to your days fifteen years; and I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Ashur; and I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.


Therefore the LORD will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.


If you will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up; for I grieve over the distress that I have brought on you.


God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn't do it.
