though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten.


When you rebuke and correct man for iniquity, You consume his wealth like a moth. Surely every man is but a breath.* Selah.


A worthy woman is the crown of her husband, but a disgraceful wife is as rottenness in his bones.


Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of the LORD of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Yisra'el.


Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Behold, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.


For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation to all generations.


But God prepared a worm at dawn the next day, and it chewed on the vine, so that it withered.
