But Avram said to Sarai, *Behold, your maid is in your hand. Do to her whatever is good in your eyes.* Sarai dealt harshly with her, and she fled from her face.


Avimelekh said, *Behold, my land is before you. Dwell where it pleases you.*


Their words pleased Chamor and Shekhem, Chamor's son.


*Now therefore let Par`oh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.


The thing was good in the eyes of Par`oh, and in the eyes of all his servants.


He kissed all his brothers, and wept on them. After that his brothers talked with him.


Par`oh said to Yosef, *Tell your brothers, 'Do this. Load your animals, and go, travel to the land of Kena`an.


All the people took notice of it, and it pleased them; as whatever the king did pleased all the people.


The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.


This advice pleased the king and the princes, and the king did according to the word of Memukhan:


and let the maiden who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti.* The thing pleased the king, and he did so.
