Genesis 21:3

God said, *No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Yitzchak. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.


But my covenant I establish with Yitzchak, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.*


God said to Avraham, *Don't let it be grievous in your sight because of the boy, and because of your handmaid. In all that Sarah says to you, listen to her voice. For from Yitzchak will your seed be called.


Sarah said, *God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me.*


He said, *Now take your son, your only son, whom you love, even Yitzchak, and go into the land of Moriyah. Offer him there for a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you of.*


This is the history of the generations of Yitzchak, Avraham's son. Avraham became the father of Yitzchak.


Avraham became the father of Yitzchak. Yitzchak became the father of Ya`akov. Ya`akov became the father of Yehudah and his brothers.


He gave him the covenant of circumcision. So Avraham became the father of Yitzchak, and circumcised him the eighth day. Yitzchak became the father of Ya`akov, and Ya`akov became the father of the twelve patriarchs.


Neither, because they are Avraham's seed, are they all children. But, *In Yitzchak will your seed be called.*


even he to whom it was said, *In Yitzchak will your seed be called;*


I took your father Avraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Kena`an, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Yitzchak.
