Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Yisra'el remained encamped, and didn't travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.


For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.


If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?*


for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.*


Behold, I send forth the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Yerushalayim until you are clothed with power from on high.*


I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,--


*When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.


When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, *Receive the Holy Spirit!


But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Yeshua wasn't yet glorified.


not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen before by God, to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.


Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.
