Now Moshe was keeping the flock of Yitro, his father-in-law, the Kohen of Midyan, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God's mountain, to Chorev.


He said, *Don't come close. Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.*


They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.


even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.


Thus says the LORD: *I have returned to Tziyon, and will dwell in the midst of Yerushalayim. Yerushalayim shall be called 'The City of Truth;' and the mountain of the LORD of Armies, 'The Holy Mountain.'*


When the talmidim heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.


The prince of the LORD's army said to Yehoshua, Put off your shoe from off your foot; for the place whereon you stand is holy. Yehoshua did so.
