His men who were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they lived in the cities of Chevron.


David arose, and passed over, he and the six hundred men who were with him, to Akhish the son of Ma`okh, king of Gat.


But David pursued, he and four hundred men; for two hundred stayed behind, who were so faint that they couldn't go over the brook Besor.
