I will hear what God, the LORD, will speak, for he will speak shalom to his people, his holy ones; but let them not turn again to folly.


Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.


They said to Moshe, *Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don't let God speak with us, lest we die.*


I heard the Lord's voice, saying, *Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?* Then I said, *Here I am. Send me!*


He said, *Greatly beloved man, don't be afraid: shalom be to you, be strong, yes, be strong.* When he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, *Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me.*


But rise up, and enter into the city, and you will be told what you must do.*


He said, No; but I have come now as commander of the LORD's army. Yehoshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said to him, What says my lord to his servant?


The LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Shemu'el, Shemu'el. Then Shemu'el said, Speak; for your servant hears.


The LORD called Shemu'el again the third time. He arose and went to `Eli, and said, Here am I; for you called me. `Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
