David answered Rechav and Ba`anah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Be'erotite, and said to them, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,


my loving kindness, my fortress, my high tower, my deliverer, my shield, and he in whom I take refuge; who subdues my people under me.


With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.


He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
