it happened on the third day, that behold, a man came out of the camp from Sha'ul, with his clothes torn, and dirt on his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.


The king said, Let him turn to his own house, but let him not see my face. So Avshalom turned to his own house, and didn't see the king's face.


Avshalom lived two full years in Yerushalayim; and he didn't see the king's face.


So Yo'av came to the king, and told him; and when he had called for Avshalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Avshalom.


Bat-Sheva bowed, and did obeisance to the king. The king said, What would you?
