You came only yesterday, and shall I today make you wander about with us, since I go I know not where? Go back and take your brothers with you, and may the Lord show steadfast love and faithfulness to you.”


Then the king said to Zadok, “Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place.


And they brought in the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.


And he left Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place that was at Gibeon


For the tabernacle of the Lord, which Moses had made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering were at that time in the high place at Gibeon,


Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.


Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
