Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified.


And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise.”


And Pilate said to them, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him.”


And after flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.”
