In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.


So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.


You are witnesses of these things.


Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened,


And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.


and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”


until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.
