But in the third year Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.


The people were sacrificing at the high places, however, because no house had yet been built for the name of the Lord.


Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father, only he sacrificed and made offerings at the high places.


In the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign.


And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.


But Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.
