The man’s wife was named Naomi and his two sons were named Mahlon and Kilion. These people were from the Ephrathah family of Bethlehem, Judah. The family traveled to the hill country of Moab and stayed there.
I am also buying Ruth to be my wife. I am doing this so the dead man’s property will stay with his family. This way, the dead man’s name will not be separated from his family and his land. You are witnesses this day.”
